Putting all art stuff aside for a second, this track is serious. There are millions of women and children "stuck in rush hour" (human trafficking), and both they and their oppressors need Jesus to transform their lives and hearts. Please take a moment to pray that God would continue to move in this twisted system and just tear it down. Pray for convictions in the hearts of the pimps and for healing on those being raped daily. More than anything, pray for everyone involved to accept Jesus into their lives. That mission is more important than you and me.
If you feel convicted to directly make a impact to this system, there are a few organizations you can get involved with, but above that, start walking around your city and praying. Keep your eyes peeled, because this business is more real than you'd ever imagine.
lyrics
Shame and sorrow
Complacency returns tomorrow
Fill this void today
As my heart blackens deeper
Lights out as the devil puts me into a sleeper
Holding onto past-tense laying on my back
Sin makes it hard for me to swallow
Ingrained in brain visuals of her fear
"Somebody took me for their own pleasure"
No big deal
I saw the terror in her eyes
and the anguish inside
as her captor ripped from her thighs
All identity
You believed a lie
While His children die
Crying out hopelessly
Don't you know they're human beings?
Euphoric feelings justifying slavery
Monetary gain makes my stomach cave in
You don't understand the gravity of this hell
Dying underground, a story you will never tell
Twenty years have passed, and every chance of escape
Has slipped away, out of grasp.
Someone save me, I am eternally bound.
Dreaming is no sancuary, mind isn't
Sounding, quite right. These thoughts of suicide.
But how? I'm trapped.
Even my soul can't leave.
Why, God, have you forsaken me?
Are you even there? I'm in need of rescuing.
He's coming back soon, my eyes are out of tears.
Every unknown fear, came to me at once.
The promises of work, broken like my body.
It's time for a change. Get up and save her life.
Don't listen anymore, too many have died.
